MY PRIVACY POLICY

Accounting firms, like all providers of personal financial services, are now required by law to inform their clients of policies of the firm regarding privacy of client information. Accounting firms are bound by professional standards of confidentiality that are even more stringent than those required by law. Here at Accounting Advantage LLC, we are committed to maintaining confidentiality of all written, spoken, and electronic client information. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect this information.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

In the course of our business, we collect personal information about you, my client, that is provided to us by you or obtained with your authorization.

Personal information that we collect includes the following:

• Information such as name, address, e-mail address, social security, date of birth, martial status, names of family members, and financial information that we receive from you on applications, tax organizers, and other forms.
• Information about your transactions such as account balances, investments, current and prior tax information, and parties to transactions.

SHARING OF CLIENT INFORMATION

We do not disclose personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone outside of Accounting Advantage LLC unless permitted or required by law, or you have authorized us to do so. Examples of disclosures permitted or required by law include:

Disclosure to independent software providers we contact with to help me provide services to you. In such cases, information is disclosed on a limited basis to solve processing problems that require their technical assistance and is utilized only when you consent in writing.

Disclosure in response to a subpoena or other court order.

Within our firm, I provide access to information to my employees in order to provide services to you and only when you consent in writing.

In all such situations, I stress the confidential nature of information being shared.
