Did you know that if you are audited by the IRS, the burden of proof for under reporting your income is on the IRS?

However, the burden of proof that you have deducted legally allowable expenses and deductions is on the taxpayer (you).

  • Please contact me to set up an appointment so that we may discuss your understanding of legally allowable expenses and deductions.

Accounting firms, like all providers of personal financial services, are now required by law to inform their clients of policies of the firm regarding privacy of client information. Accounting firms are bound by professional standards of confidentiality that are even more stringent than those required by law. Here at Accounting Advantage LLC, I am committed to maintaining confidentiality of all written, spoken, and electronic client information. I maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect this information.

In the course of our business, I collect personal information about you, my client, that is provided to me by you or obtained with your authorization.

  • Information about your transactions such as account balances, investments, current and prior tax information, and parties to transactions.

I do not disclose personal information about my clients or former clients to anyone outside of Accounting Advantage LLC unless permitted or required by law, or you have authorized me to do so. Examples of disclosures permitted or required by law include:

Disclosure to independent software providers we contact with to help me provide services to you. In such cases, information is disclosed on a limited basis to solve processing problems that require their technical assistance and is utilized only when you consent in writing.

Disclosure in response to a subpoena or other court order.

Within the firm, I provide access to information to my employees, if applicable, in order to provide services to you and only when you consent in writing.

In all such situations, I stress the confidential nature of information being shared.
